Oscar Emilio Hernández Bustos holds a PhD in Science from Simón Bolívar University (Venezuela) and a Master’s degree in Medical Biophysics from the University of Chile; he is also a specialist in General Physics and holds a degree in Mathematics and Physics from the Universidad del Atlántico. He is currently a full-time professor at the Institución Universitaria de Barranquilla. His research interests include computational neuroscience, the neurobiology of empathy, biophysics, and science education.
